Our hour-long session of messy play is an adult and child (under 5s) participation group where children (and adults) get to explore a range of messy activities that are aimed at encouraging and developing the children's interest and understanding of the world around them through creative and sensory play.
We aim to
spend around 45minutes doing 'messy play' and then clear away for a drink and
biscuit, a sing song and to share what we've done during the session.
Fee: £3.50 per adult with child
+ £1.50 for any additional children.
There
will be aprons available for children but please could children (and adults)
wear things that they don't mind getting messy.
We will also make sure that there are water stations, hand wash and towels
set up throughout the room to help keep yourselves, the children and the hall
clean.
Both having children with about a two year age gap has made us aware of how tricky it can be to find suitable activities to suit both our children. Therefore we have tried to plan a fun messy play session that it is suitable for all children under five.
